Five under 50

Several people have requested to see the 5 under $50 post again. These posts assume a couple of things
- You want relatively healthy meals for your family but don't have much time to cook.
- You don't have time to go to lots of stores.
- You probably have some coupons from previous Sunday papers (somewhere)
- You don't have a lot of time to cook

Breakfasts in many houses are a "grab quickly"

Breakfast can be bananas and cereal or a bagel

Lunches can obviously also include leftovers from the previous night dinner. Other lunch choices include: cottage cheese, last nights veggies, chef Boyardee, lunch meat.

Dinner

Night 1 Cook whole pork loin

If you have a crock pot, put pork loin in crock pot with onions (cut in half), and broccoli (or other veggie) for 8 hours. YUMMY and easy. Ready when you get home!

Save juices in bottom of crock pot

Night 2 Crock pot stew
In morning, add juices from whole pork loin back in crock pot. Add 3 potatoes (cut in half). Add 2 bags of favorite frozen veggies. Add half of stew meat. Add 3 cups water. Cook all day!

Night 3 Fried rice

Make rice according to package directions. Use small veggies or cut up veggies. Use 1/2 of cut up stew meat (cut very small). Fry meat first and then add in veggies and rice.

Night 4 Fun night
Clean out the fridge.

Night 5 Speghetti and pasta

Night 6 Thin pork chops
Cook thin pork chops for 3 minutes a side in a skillet. Serve with veggies.

Night 7 Potato bar
Bake potatoes for 1 hour in the oven or 15 minutes in microwave. Make sure you poke holes with a fork first!
Sour cream, broccoli as toppings

Alternative dinner:  Pork BBQ
